【摘要】:Itisexpectedthatthistestmethodwillbesuitabletoidentifyandquantifycontaminantsfoundinsystems,systemmaterials,andcomponentsusedinsystemsrequiringahighlevelofcleanliness,suchasoxygen.Softgoodssuchassealsandvalveseatscanbetestedasreceived.Glovesandwipes,orsamplesthereof,tobeusedinthecleaningoperationcanbeevaluatedpriortousetoensurethattheproposedcleaningsolventdoesnotextractcontaminantsandresiduesonthesurfacetobecleaned.Wipesorothercleaningequipmentcanbetestedafterusetodeterminetheamountofcontaminantremovedfromasurface.ThisprocedurecanbeusedtoobtainsamplesforNVRanalysisusingcontaminatedcontrolcouponsthatweresubjectedtothecleaningprocessascontrolstovalidatecleaningoperations.Theselectionofthesolventrequiressomeknowledgeofthecontaminant(seePracticeG93forrecommendations).Ifanonvolatileresidue(NVR)analysisistobeperformedonthemolecularcontaminant,theboilingpointofthesolventshallbesignificantlylowerthanthatofthecontaminant.Forotheranalyticalmethods,thetestermustknowtheaccuracyoftheanalyticalmethods,andthesolventshallbechosensoasnottointerferewiththeselectedanalyticalmethod.ToidentifythecompositionoftheNVR,analyticalmethodssuchasinfraredspectroscopyorgaschromatography/massspectroscopyhavebeenusedsatisfactorily.1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedureforthedeterminationofresidualcontaminationinsystemsandcomponentsrequiringahighlevelofcleanliness,suchasoxygen,bySoxhletextraction.1.2Thispracticemaybeusedforextractingnonvolatileandsemivolatileresiduesfromsolidssuchasnewandusedgloves,newandusedwipes,contaminatedtestspecimensorcontrolcoupons,smallpiecesofhardware,componentsoftgoods,etc.Whenusedwithproposedcleaningmaterials(wipes,gloves,etc.),thispracticemaybeusedtodeterminethepotentialoftheproposedsolventtoextractcontaminants(plasticizers,residualdetergents,brighteners,etc.)anddepositthemonthesurfacebeingcleaned.1.3Thispracticeisnotsuitablefortheevaluationofparticulatecontamination.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsarestandard.Valuesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:TheMicro-Devalabrasiontestisatestoffineaggregatetodetermineabrasionlossinthepresenceofwaterandanabrasivecharge.Manyaggregatesaremoresusceptibletoabrasionwhenwetthandry,andtheuseofwaterinthistestincorporatesthisreductioninresistancetodegradation.Thetestresultsarehelpfulinevaluatingthetoughness/abrasionresistanceoffineaggregatesubjecttoabrasionwhenadequateinformationisnotavailablefromservicerecords.Thistestissuitableformeasuringtheamountofweak,softmaterialsuchasshaleorshaleycarbonateinfineaggregate.Materialsthatgivealowlossinthistestareunlikelytoexhibitsignificantdegradationduringhandling,mixingorplacing.ThereisarelationshipbetweendryingshrinkageofcementmortarandMicro-Devalabrasionlossoffineaggregate,withhigherlossmaterialsresultinginhigherdryingshrinkage.Descriptionsofthedevelopmentofthetestandtherelationshipwithotherpropertieshavebeenpublished.,,TheMicro-Devalabrasiontestonfineaggregateisusefulfordetectingchangesinpropertiesofaggregateproducedfromanaggregatesourceaspartofaqualitycontrolorqualityassuranceprocess.TheMicro-Devalabrasiontestonfineaggregate,incontrasttotheversiononcoarseaggregate,hasasignificantcorrelationwiththeMagnesiumSulfatesoundnesslossoffineaggregate.TheMicro-Devaltestonfineaggregatehasbetterprecisionthanthesulfatesoundnesstest,isquicker,andmaybeusedinplaceofthattest.Adviceonspecificvaluesforselectionofaggregatewillbefoundintheappendix.1.1ThistestmethodcoversaprocedurefortestingfineaggregateforresistancetoabrasionusingtheMicro-Devalapparatus.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thetextofthismethodreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthetestmethod.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
