【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtoevaluatesulfurforsuitabilityasarubbervulcanizingagent.Sulfurparticlesmustbesmallenoughtodissolveinrubberduringcuretoproduceauniformnetworkofcross-links.Thistestmethodisusedasaqualitycontrolmethodtoensurethatlargeparticlesarenotpresent(andtodetermineifthesulfurfollowsatypicalpatternforsizedistribution).1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheparticlesizemeasurementofthecoarsefractionofgroundsulfurs.Itislimitedtomeasurementofparticlesgreaterthan45x03BC;m(No.325sieve).Ifthesulfurisveryfineandthescreensbecomepluggedbythecakingofthesulfur,itmaybenecessarytouseawetsieveprocedureinstead.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
